jane.adams@newcorecapital.comJane joined Newcore in 2014 and is responsible for HR, administrative and office management duties at Newcore. Jane joined Newcore from Lucidus Capital Partners where she worked as a Personal Assistant. Previously, Jane worked as an Account and Property Manager for Samara, a Leeds-based student letting agency.
In 2008, Jane graduated from the University of Canterbury with a BSc Hons degree in Psychology.
Andrew Baum
Non-exec Chair
andrew.baum@newcorecapital.comAndrew is Chairman of Newcore and responsible to all members for ensuring that the highest standards of corporate governance are met. He sits on the Newcore investment committee. Andrew is also Professor of Practice at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Andrew is Emeritus Professor at the University of Reading and was recently Honorary Professor of Real Estate Investment at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge. Andrew sits on the investment committee for CBRE Global Investment Partners.
A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the CFA Institute, Andrew is founder and former president of the Reading Real Estate Foundation, an educational charity established to support real estate education. Andrew has been elected an Academic Fellow of the Urban Land Institute and is an Honorary Fellow of the Society of Property Researchers.
Hugo Llewelyn
Chief Executive Officer
hugo.llewelyn@newcorecapital.comHugo founded Newcore in 2011 and is responsible to all Newcore’s stakeholders for managing the business and its investment strategy, including achieving the objectives of each of its separate account and co-mingled fund clients.
Prior to Newcore, Hugo was co-founder and Head of Investment at Protego Real Estate Investors, which was set up in 2004 and sold to Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers (now Barings) in 2010, growing to over £2bn AUM across Northern Europe.
Hugo holds Masters degrees from both the University of Oxford and the University of Reading. He was amongst the first candidates to be awarded the IPF Real Estate Investment diploma and is a MRICS.
Hugo is currently a trustee of the Nuffield Medical Trust (healthcare) and an ambassador to the Aldridge Foundation (educational) charities. He formerly served as a trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, where he chaired the Property and Development Committee and sat on the Investment Committee. He is also spearheading Newcore’s efforts to build a new community centre in Blackbird Leys, East Oxford.
Lucy MacEwan
Associate Director I Investor Relations
Lucy.MacEwan@newcorecapital.comLucy MacEwan joined Newcore in May 2023, focusing on investor relations, investor reporting, capital raising and sustainability.
Previously, Lucy spent five years at Savills Investment Management as an Investor Relations and Marketing Manager. Here she was responsible for investor reporting, capital raising, oversight of the Fund’s quarterly dealing, sustainability, and the ongoing marketing of the Fund.
Lucy graduated from the University of Exeter in 2016 with a degree in BA Anthropology.
Harry Savory
Chief Investment Officer
harry.savory@newcorecapital.comHarry is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and execution of new investment opportunities and the implementation of fund-level and asset strategies. Having joined Newcore in 2012, Harry has led over 80 investment transactions through to completion. He works closely with a range of social infrastructure operators to deliver either stabilised investments or development opportunities via leasing, planning and repositioning strategies.
Harry has worked in UK commercial real estate for over 10 years. He has previously held transactional, analytical and portfolio management roles at CBRE Global Investors, Targetfollow Group and Colliers International. At CBRE Global Investors, Harry was assigned to UK separate account mandates targeting value-add returns.
Harry is a qualified MRICS who holds the CFA UK Society’s Investment Management Certificate. He sits on Newcore's investment and management committees.
Neil Sarkhel
Chief Operating Officer
neil.sarkhel@newcorecapital.comNeil is a partner within the Newcore business and sits on the firm's Management Committee. His predominant focus is on fund management, product development, business management and Newcore's equity and debt relationships.
Neil previously worked in investment and fund management roles at Brockton Capital and Goldman Sachs. He has a Masters in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge and graduated from Cass Business School with first class honours in Real Estate, Finance and Investment (BSc).
Neil led Newcore's efforts to become a Certified B Corporation in 2020.
Anne Copeland
Head of Institutional Capital
Anne.Copeland@newcorecapital.comAnne joined Newcore in August 2024 as Head of Institutional Capital and sits on the Investment Committee. Her predominant focus is delivering new funds for Newcore with a strong alignment to impact across social infrastructure with investment grade tenant counterparties across essential services including residential, education, and health. She is an industry veteran in being one of the first to set-up and manage social infrastructure real estate funds for institutional investors over the last twenty-five years having started her career with Schroders in 1995.
She holds a post graduate non-executive diploma from the Financial Times and has a BSc first-class honour degree in Land Management from Reading University. Anne is an MRICS and is within the FCA’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime. She is a Non-Executive Director with Look Ahead, a charity regulated by both the Regulator of Social Housing and the Care Quality Commission.
Christine Milne
Finance Director
Christine.Milne@newcorecapital.comChristine has overall responsibility for all aspects of Fund Accounting and Administration through the management of the Finance Team. She will also be responsible for regulatory reporting, tax compliance and the regular review of practices and procedures as well as supporting on transaction.
Christine Joined Newcore Capital in 2023. Prior to joining, Christine spent eight years at Patrizia as the UK Head of Fund Services and seven years at MEPC as their Group Financial Controller, latterly Finance Director.
Christine has been a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) since 2000 and graduated with a First-Class degree in Economics from the University in Reading.
Kate Sandle
Director of Sustainability
Kate.Sandle@newcorecapital.comKate was Director of Programmes and Engagement at B Lab UK for 6+ years. From launch, she co-led the B Corp movement in the UK and has helped hundreds of businesses improve their environmental and social performance, transparency and accountability.
Kate was responsible for the community and oversaw the programmatic work including engagement with the SDGs, climate action (inc. net zero) and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. Most recently Kate consulted for Williams Nicolson, a strategic communications agency on ESG; recommending frameworks, writing strategy papers and curating narratives and working with board members.
A regular media commentator on sustainability, she is a founding non-exec director of Business Declares and on the advisory board of Freestar, an alcohol-free beer. She has judged tech, film and art awards. She has an MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Leeds in International Relations.

jonathan.scriven@newcorecapital.comJonathan is a member of the Newcore partnership and joined in October 2017. He is responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of investment opportunities, whilst leading on specific portfolio management assignments.
Jonathan previously worked for Carter Jonas where he was an Associate Partner within the investment team. Between 2009 and 2013, Jonathan worked for Beacon Wood RES operating on the portfolio management of an investment portfolio valued at circa £500m.
Jonathan is a qualified MRICS who graduated from Reading University with a first class honours degree in Land Management in 2009.

Harry is a qualified MRICS and graduated from the University of Reading with a BSc in Real Estate in 2015.
Alice Sykes-Waller

She is also responsible for carrying out portfolio management work across the funds.
Previously, Alice was a surveyor in Business Space Investment at Savills after gaining experience in the investment, valuation, property management and leasing departments.
Alice is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with a master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading.
Edmund Townsend

Edmund.Townsend@newcorecapital.comEd joined Newcore in May 2023 and is responsible for sourcing and underwriting investment opportunities on behalf of Newcore’s institutional and family office investors, as well as carrying our portfolio management work on both the separate accounts and fund series.
Previously, Ed was a surveyor at Knight Frank, where he worked within European Capital Markets, Debt advisory and valuation departments. Ed was also a secondee at Landsec working as an investment analyst on their London portfolio. Ed started his career at Barclays Wealth in investment management.
Ed is a qualified MRICS who holds the CFA UK Society’s Investment Management Certificate. Ed completed his undergraduate Bristol University and undertook a master’s in real estate from the University of Reading.
Angkujan Sayandan

Previously, Angkujan spent four years in various roles within the Investment Banking divisions of BNP Paribas CIB and Deutsche Bank. After graduating from his Masters in Real Estate from the University of Reading with a Distinction in 2022, Angkujan began his career in real estate working within JLL gaining specialist experience in Capital Markets.

Emma Brierley

In 2014, Emma graduated from the University of Surrey with a degree in Financial Mathematics (BSc).

Charles Weeks

Charles.Weeks@newcorecapital.comCharles acts as Senior Advisor to Newcore supporting Newcore's senior leadership in growing the manager’s investor base and partnerships.
Charles was previously Head of Real Estate for Europe and APAC at Barings and previously co-founded Protego Real Estate Investors in 2004 with Newcore's CEO, Hugo Llewelyn. Together they successfully established and built the UK and European investment management business, which was acquired by Barings (then Cornerstone) in 2010. Weeks remained at Barings to continue to lead the growth of the Barings real estate enterprise in Europe, and later into APAC, while Hugo departed to start Newcore Capital.
