Hugo Llewelyn

Hugo founded Newcore in 2011 and is responsible to all Newcore’s stakeholders for managing the business and its investment strategy, including achieving the objectives of each of its separate account and co-mingled fund clients.

Prior to Newcore, Hugo was co-founder and Head of Investment at Protego Real Estate Investors, which was set up in 2004 and sold to Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers (now Barings) in 2010, growing to over £2bn AUM across Northern Europe.

Hugo holds Masters degrees from both the University of Oxford and the University of Reading. He was amongst the first candidates to be awarded the IPF Real Estate Investment diploma and is a MRICS.

Hugo is currently a trustee of the Nuffield Medical Trust (healthcare) and an ambassador to the Aldridge Foundation (educational) charities. He formerly served as a trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, where he chaired the Property and Development Committee and sat on the Investment Committee. He is also spearheading Newcore’s efforts to build a new community centre in Blackbird Leys, East Oxford.
